So yea, my first blog..
Pretty interesting opening line I think you'll all agree!
You see, the thing is, is that I'm a pretty normal 25 year old guy. I moved in to a house with my fiancee last Spring, I work for a company that doesn't really know I exist apart from a number on the payment system at the end of each month, I hold pretty liberal views and hope that everyone is happy and finally, I come from a pretty normal working class background.
I enjoy listening to 90s music thanks to my older brother, who has/does influence me greatly. My dad has worked in construction for the majority of this working life and my mom is a class assistant and a local primary school.
I have a few, normal interests. I like watching football, supporting Aston Villa F.C. A team who, at this present time, are very much the definition of mediocre in the top league in this country - The Premiership.
I have recently started running. I have only been out on the road a dozen or so times since Christmas but it's something I have actually started to enjoy. I used to find it difficult to believe people who used to say that to me, but the more you do, the more infectious it becomes.. Myself and a couple of friends have earmarked to take part in the Birmingham Half Marathon in October, maybe if I keep this blog going I'll update my progress! The furthest I have ran currently stands at 7.2miles which I am pretty happy with at this point in my running 'career'. Whenever I do go running, my feet hurt like crazy. To fix this problem, I have ordered some proper running trainers which will hopefully do the trick. As I said - I'll keep you updated.
I like watching films with my financee, though being a typical man, I am a bit picky. I try and be partial but there's only so many films with 'feelings' that I can tolerate. I try and watch a wide spectrum of films including the normal genres (horror, action, comedy), but I like to challenge the old culture centre of the brain by watching anime's, film noir and foreign films. I get on with most things and enjoy 90% but some things *cough* The Happening *cough* shouldn't have been brought into the public domain.
About my fiancee, she's the best, proved by the fact we shall be getting married next Spring in fabulous Las Vegas! Maybe something else to keep updating!
Just about to click the old publish button now, without having said too much it must be said!
I wonder how many - if any - people will read this and what their opinions of it will be?
